Producing oil from waste asphalt
FOWA I processing unit (approx. 100 lbs / 50 kgs)

Fuel Oil From Waste Asphalt (FOWA)
We have invented a process(patent pending) for recycling waste asphalt produced on the highways, tennis courts and residential driveways into fuel oil (link to the fuel-oil report can be seen here).using our bioremediation product VaporRemed. The prototype unit is known as a FOWA I and can process about 100 lbs of waste asphalt.

The diagram below shows a typical flow for converting asphalt into fuel oil and clean gravel.
Design and Development of a Prototype
Design of the Prototype
A prototype was designed for extracting fuel oil from waste asphalt based on the above experiments. After accelerated treatment using our patented process, oil was released in cold water. This oil/water mixture was then processed through an oil-water separator and free oil was collected. As we can see here, the entire process of releasing oil from asphalt (or tar sands for that matter) is running at room temperature.
